Caveat animals; humans around

Should we really worry about those non-human animals that much?

In Rock Hill, South Carolina, two men had an argument at a local motel. One went over to the other, a Tony Smith, complaining that Smith was making to much noise. Smith then came after the victim and whacked him in the face with a live snake.  Police charged Smith with assault and battery.  My question is, what was the guy doing in a motel with a live snake?  I do know that next time I visit Rock Hill, South Carolina, if my motel neighbour makes noise, I’ll make sure I don’t go over to complain unless I am accompanied by a mongoose.

Heading next to down under a 21 year old man, as a joke, threw some cheesies at a car owned by a 39 year old woman near Sydney, Australia.  This joke did not sit well with the lady and she decided to teach the perpetrator a lesson, as she put it. The lesson consisted of running the lad over and killing him.  It will be a long time until she teaches anyone else a lesson as she is going to jail for 25 years.  A car wash would have cost her about $5.00 (turtle wax extra).

Getting back to this side of the globe, we go from snakes, mongooses and turtles to penguins.  A guy in South Fayette, Pennsylvania was up the other night watching the Senators and the Penguins going into their third sudden death overtime period.  His wife had some things to say about him staying up that late to watch a hockey game and when the visiting Senators scored the winning goal, he decided to hit her with a hammer and stab her, killing her.  No doubt his series is over too.

What is happening to this world? I think I feel more comfortable patting a strange Doberman than approaching some people.  Even a pit bull wouldn’t lunge at you and rip your throat off for throwing cheeses at his car.  Nor would he go postal if the Maple Leafs lose a game. (Actually in that case, he would probably expect it and resign himself to this common event).
